Money is the problem and answer to most of life's problems for just about everyone. Students who have just graduated from high school either get a job to support themselves, join the military or go off to college. The first two have somewhat figured out to do with money but the latter has a bit of trouble. Without money you can't get to pay for that expensive tuition nor can you have much of a social life without it. You can' enjoy yourself because you don't have money to spend. Without money you can't do much about anything.
Eventually as a student, you need to get a fulltime or a part-time job to support yourself and to enjoy yourself. But for many young adults, they are incredibly horrible with their self control. They will spend their money on things that are just a plain waste, and slow dig themselves deeper and deeper in to debt. There are a couple ways to prevent this and so that you can be financially be set.
Get a respectable good part-time job. It's out there you just need to look for it. But once you get it, do everything you can to keep that job as long it doesn't require you need to do anything illegal or harms your academic career.
One of the major problems is that young adults don't know how to control those spending urges. They will buy just about anything and spend up to thousands of dollars on wants and because they don't have thousands of dollars they will put it on credit which is a very bad idea. They don't realize that you need to pay that money back and look as the credit card as free money when there is no such thing. Money does not grow on trees.
To make sure this doesn't happen, just don't get a credit card, but if you must need to get one so you can build your credit, make it a rule to yourself to never use it unless it is to pay for rent, car insurance and gas you need to travel from home, work and your job, and academic related items such as tuition and books. Otherwise you might start spending it on just about anything. For anything else, just as a new computer, a television or clothes, buy it with money that you do have. Also the most expensive the item it, make sure you spend some considerable amount of time before you spend a lot of money on it, because it might turn out you didn't really need it after all.
But this doesn't mean you have to stingy with your money all the time. You can splurge and spoil yourself as long as you have some money set aside for an occasion like this. Such as buying concert tickets, buying an MP3 player or a night out of town.
In this world money can bring in many pleasures but it can also bring in many problems. So be careful on how you use your money so it won't ruin your life in the future.
